Hi,

I use interFoam to simulate bubbles in glycerine, I obtained bad results, and I don't know what is the numerical problem. With water there aren't problems.

I use this

solvers
{
pcorr ICCG 1e-10 0;
pd ICCG 1e-10 0;
gamma BICCG 1e-12 0;
U BICCG 1e-08 0;
}

PISO
{
momentumPredictor yes;
nCorrectors 3;
nNonOrthogonalCorrectors 0;
nGammaCorr 1;
nGammaSubCycles 4;
cGamma 2;

Is it only the density and viscosity that differs between water and glycerine?

Did u try changing one thing at a time to find out what made the changes?

only the viscosity is the important change; for water is 0.001 and for glycerine is 1.045, (density: water 1000, glycerine 1257; and surface tension: water 0.07, glycerine 0.063)

OK, sorry I do not have any idea for the moment.

I have a question though. Did you initialize with a spherical bubble. If so how did you accomplish the initialization?
