Hi,

I recently made the switch to OF 1.3. After adjusting my solvers, I tried to run a testcase to see if it was working, but I get the following error instantly when I launch my app.

debug::switchSet(const char*, dictionary*):
Cannot find DimensionedConstants in dictionary /home/guido/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-1.3/.OpenFOAM-1.3/controlDict

I have taken a look at the controlDict file, and it indeed does not contain a debug switch for DimensionedConstants. Should I add this myself? Or is there something else wrong?

kind regards
Guido

I have the same problem when I start to try running rhoSimpleFoam in OF 1.3. I've tried to add a line for DimensionedConstants in the controlDict, but it doesn't seem to fix the problem. Anyone know what to do?

Thanks

I added a line for DimensionedConstants and it shows up in both the controlDict file in the terminal, and when I edit the controlDict in FoamX. However, when I try to run rhoSimpleFoam from the command line, I still get this error:

debug::switchSet(const char*, dictionary*):
Cannot find DimensionedConstants in dictionary /root/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-1.3/.OpenFOAM-1.3/controlDict

as mentioned by Guido previously. Has anyone had any experience with this issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Guido,

could you file a bug report for this (FoamX not being able to edit controlDict)?
