Hi!

Im trying to do a simulation where water is heated to vapor. To do This im planing on using the eulerTwoPhase application with added heat equations. But since the water becomes vapor att the patches difined as heat sources, I need to take away water in the outer most cells i.e. mass sinks and create vapor in the same cells i.e. mass sources.

Does anyone know how to create such sources/sinks

Thanks
/Erik

Hello erik:
Treat the mass and sink sources as momentum sources and add/subtract their values from the momentum equations. Its a pseudo approach but kinda throws light on the physics

Thanks a lot!

I would like to make this phase shift at one of the walls. Do you also know how to edit this so that it looks like vapor is created at the walls and not with a even distribution on the cross section area? i.e. I probably have make these equations on the cells closest to the wall.

best regards

Hello again,

I got a bit disoriented when trying to make out the code for twoPhaseEulerFoam. Could you or perhaps someone else help me find the momentum equation (is it the one in Ueqns.H?) and maybe point out where to add resp. subract with mass sources in order to simulate creation of vapor.
