error message
 
Hi, everyone,

I am running a transient case with icoFoam, everything looks Ok, but I got following error messages, it looks to me that simulation is not diverged? Besides, when I change in the controlDict to use the latest time which has been stored(2.23s) as the new startTime, simulation carrys on without giving any error messages(ie. no error at time instance 2.2343689). Can somebody give suggestions?

Seems like a similar error to one I had before. Try:

Those are very large times and very small time steps!

Hi Vivien,

To me it looks like a floating point exception ie. a division by zero or something like that.

Fpe = Floating point exception

To replicate the problem on restart it is important that you save the results in binary format. You can set the write format in the system/controlDict file by setting it ascii or binary. I't ascii by default I believe.
