Dear all,
I am using 1.5version dieselFoam. I have several questions. Your help will be highly appreciated! 1. I could run my case with kEpsilon/RNGkEpsilon RANSModel, but the case goes to crash if I use laminar RANSModel, and I got the following error message. I wonder is it caused by the turbulent time scale calculation I found in dieselFoam.C? Does anyone know something about this? Solving chemistry #0 Foam::error:rintStack(Foam::Ostream&) in "/usr/local/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-1.5/lib/linux64GccDPOpt/libOpenFOAM.so" #1 Foam::sigFpe::sigFpeHandler(int) in "/usr/local/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-1.5/lib/linux64GccDPOpt/libOpenFOAM.so" #2 __restore_rt at sigaction.c:0 #3 Foam::divide(Foam::Field<double>&, Foam::UList<double> const&, Foam::UList<double> const&) in "/usr/local/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-1.5/lib/linux64GccDPOpt/libOpenFOAM.so" #4 void Foam::divide<Foam::fvPatchField, Foam::volMesh>(Foam::GeometricField<double, Foam::fvPatchField, Foam::volMesh>&, Foam::GeometricField<double, Foam::fvPatchField, Foam::volMesh> const&, Foam::GeometricField<double, Foam::fvPatchField, Foam::volMesh> const&) in "/usr/local/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-1.5/applications/bin/linux64GccDPOpt/dieselFoam" #5 Foam::tmp<Foam::GeometricField<double, Foam::fvPatchField, Foam::volMesh> > Foam:perator/<Foam::fvPatchField, Foam::volMesh>(Foam::tmp<Foam::GeometricField<doub le, Foam::fvPatchField, Foam::volMesh> > const&, Foam::tmp<Foam::GeometricField<double, Foam::fvPatchField, Foam::volMesh> > const&) in "/usr/local/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-1.5/applications/bin/linux64GccDPOpt/dieselFoam" #6 main in "/usr/local/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-1.5/applications/bin/linux64GccDPOpt/dieselFoam" #7 __libc_start_main in "/lib64/libc.so.6" #8 Foam::regIOobject::writeObject(Foam::IOstream::str eamFormat, Foam::IOstream::versionNumber, Foam::IOstream::compressionType) const in "/usr/local/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-1.5/applications/bin/linux64GccDPOpt/dieselFoam" Floating point exception 2. I also got Evaporation Continuity Error message? any idea? I used 0.4 in the beginning, but in some cases I have to use 0.1 or 0.05. 4. I need to make sure what governing equations are being sloved, would you like to let me know where to start? Thank you in advance! -JG |

as for the Evaporation Continuity Error, I am running for non-evaporating spray and turn off the evaporation model.
