Hi Foamers,
I have just read The description of PISO and SIMPLE from the nVersteeg e Malaskera book. When I compared with the algorithm implemented in icoFoam, I noted a lot of differences between the algorithms described in the book and the implementation. Is there other good reference where I can get more details about the implementation, in particular for flows different from those simulated by icoFoam. Thanks in advance, António Martins |

Hi António,
This paper, by Fabian Peng Kärrholm, describes the PISO loop used in OpenFOAM solvers: http://www.tfd.chalmers.se/~hani/kur...7/rhiechow.pdf I think there's also some info in the wiki. /Ola |
