snappyhexmesh inlet divergence

Default snappyhexmesh inlet divergence

Hello everybody!

When using snappyhexmesh, it's not possible to mesh "right angle" geometries.
snappyhexmesh creates a kind of "bevel" (or chamfer?, i don't know the right translation ).

Unfortunately my inlet and outlet faces are part of a cuboid-formed duct.
So after using snappyhexmesh, my inlets and outlets aren't "plane" anymore, because of the bevels.
And after a few iterations openFoam diverges at these bevels.

Is it possible to remove these "bevel"-faces from the inlet and outlet boundaries?
It doesn't matter if the area of the inlets and outlets decrease a little bit.

Hi,

one option might be to extend the inlet and outlet section over the base mesh. This should keep the actual patch size.
