hello together,
i still try to simulate the motion of a body with interDyMFoam. For this I'm using openFOAM 1.6.x. The example case 'floatingObject' (dynamicFvMesh dynamicMotionSolverFvMesh) works well (using Allrun). But when building my own modell, using the example case as a 'template', interDyMFoam stops with following output: ------------------------------------------------------------- Selecting dynamicFvMesh dynamicMotionSolverFvMesh Selecting motion solver: displacementLaplacian --> FOAM FATAL ERROR: Not Implemented Trying to construct an genericFvPatchField on patch floatingObject of field cellDisplacement From function genericFvPatchField<Type>::genericFvPatchField(con st fvPatch& p, const DimensionedField<Type, volMesh>& iF) in file fields/fvPatchFields/basic/generic/genericFvPatchField.C at line 45. FOAM aborting #0 Foam::error:rintStack(Foam::Ostream&) in "/home/of16/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-1.6.x/lib/linux64GccDPOpt/libOpenFOAM.so" and so on .... ---------------------------------------------------------- what I've did: 1. blockMesh (two patches: stationaryWalls & atmosphere) 2. snappyHexMesh (to cut the simple quadratic body -> floatingObject) 3. setFields 4. interDyMFoam for me it seems as if something is missing ... but what? Any idea? Thanks in advance ... Greetings and bye, Axel |

again ... my mistake. I've just found it ...
I forgot to add one library in in the system/controlDict . Good night! |

Hey alexm,
I saw you are using interDyMFoam. Do you create your meshes with snappyhexmes? if so, could you please explain how to you avoid polyhedras. Cheers in advanced |

HI every body
I have a problem in compiling a new solver developed based on interDyMFoam. I get no error in the compiling process and I get .dep file but when I use $FOAM_USER_APPBIN, I do not see my new solver in the list. By the way, I am using openFOAM 2.1.x Any ideas? Regards Mahyar |

Hi again
For more info on the above message, I ran a case using that new solver but I could not see the results in paraview. By using the paraFoam command I get this error: --> FOAM Warning : From function dlOpen(const fileName&, const bool) in file POSIX.C at line 1175 dlopen error : /home/mahyar/OpenFOAM/mahyar-2.1.x/platforms/linux64GccDPOpt/lib/libuserparticleVolumFraction.so: undefined symbol: _ZN4Foam14viscosityModel30dictionaryConstructorTab lePtr_E --> FOAM Warning : From function dlLibraryTable:pen(const fileName&, const bool) in file db/dynamicLibrary/dlLibraryTable/dlLibraryTable.C at line 96 could not load "libuserparticleVolumFraction.so" fileName::stripInvalid() called for invalid fileName UntitledFolder For debug level (= 2) > 1 this is considered fatal Aborted (core dumped) Any Comments? Thanks Mahyar |
