Dear all,

I would like to try to run buoyantPimpleFoam using SpalartAllmarasDDES.
I am using OpenFOAM-2.2.0 and when running the program I get the following error message:

Selecting LES turbulence model SpalartAllmarasIDDES

--> FOAM FATAL ERROR:
Unknown LESModel type SpalartAllmarasIDDES

Valid LESModel types:

6
(
DeardorffDiffStress
Smagorinsky
SpalartAllmaras
homogeneousDynOneEqEddy
lowReOneEqEddy
oneEqEddy
)

Can someone explain me why the model is not available in my case?

no idea?

could the problem be coming from the fact that SpalartAllmarasDDES would be implemented for incompressible solvers and not for compressible ones?

Yeah you are right.
SpalartAllmarasDDES is not available for compressible flows: LES
it is implemented only for incompressible flows in OpenFOAM:
LES

Hi, Mohsen!

The buoyantPimpleFoam solver can deal with incompressible flows according to this file: http://static.squarespace.com/static...ormat=original

at least for version 1.7.x of OpenFOAM. I wonder why it is limited to the ”compressible” turbulence models. You have any ideas? Thanks.
