Hey people,

I've uploaded my simple icoFoam case file ( http://www.megaupload.com/?d=D43CKXKX ) and it runs pretty quickly. I'm simulating flow over an ellipse. I expect to see the vortex street behind the ellipse but am only seeing what looks like a steady state solution. Why is icoFoam giving a steady-state solution?

Could someone please take a gander at this one - I'm sure it's a very simple thing I'm overlooking that a more experienced OF user would be able to spot instantly.

Thanks.

You don't use a turbulence model! So, you can't get a vortex street!
If your ReNumber is so high that it is in the turbulent region, you should use a turbulence model!!

Yes, but should still be able to observe the roll up of the boundary layer and the formation of shedding vortices with icoFoam. Why can't I observe this? Is my boundary layer not resolved well enough, or the P and U solvers I'm using are wrong??
