Add passive scalar temperature equation to the Channelflow

Hi Foamers,

I want to add a passive scalar temperature equation to the channel flow. So I have some problem in the temperature periodic boundary conditions for the inlet and outlet.

If I simply set the inlet and outlet to periodic, the temperature would keep increasing during the running time.

How to deal with that?

Thank you for your comments

Hi,

You can apply directMapped boundary condition to the inlet, and map the outlet values to it. This allow you to maintain an average temperature value at the inlet, while using the outlet temperature profile.
