How to learn using OpenFOAM?

hi at all!
i hope my following problem is not too petty but i don't really know where to ask...

my task is to perfom a cfd-calculation and at the moment i am meshing my geometry with ANSA... my supervisor told me that when i am done with that i should use OpenFOAM for the flow calculations. my problem is that in the users guide and in most of the tutorial the command lines are note explained... and also the kind of using a software without a GUI is totally new for me. i just have some experiences with gambit und fluent and the graphic interface was very helpful.

do you have an idea who to learn OpenFOAM the best without spending a lot of money for those trainings OpenCFD offers?

it would be great if you have some advices....
thanks a lot!

hi
i think you just need some very helpful unix commands, the rest is namely what is explained in OF user guides. Just go through some introductory courses about unix, if you did not yet, and the user guide of your preferred text editor. Then you should be able to e.g. import meshes to Foam, set up your case, postprocess, etc...

For some more specific questions, just post here again and people will help you.
Good luck!
