Spectral eddy viscosity model

I am doing some LES validation with my PIV experiment data. The basic Smagorinsky models works fine. But I also did the simulation with spectEddyVisc model. I have a the paper "Parameterization of Small Scales of Three-Dimensional Isotropic", Chollet and Lesieur 1981. But I am not sure the code is actuarially following that paper. Is there someone here can help me to find out what reference this model in openfoam is really using? Thanks a lot.
