Multiple reactiveclouds
Hi to everybody,
I am trying to simulate particle tracking inside a rectangular domain. The aim of this simulation is to evaluate the influence of differents diameters of particles. I'd like to introduce inside the domain, at the same time in the same position, 3 or 4 differents types of particles with differents diameters. Could someone help me? Another question: I am not sure to have understood the difference between parcels and particles, any advise? Thanks in advance Alessandro |
Hi Alessandro,
I had the same problem like you 2 years before. So I had a nice question and answer session with Mr Nordin, who was so polite to answer to all of my posts. The link below will guide you to the site: http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/openfoam-solving/57854-dieselfoam-spray-2.html If there is something left for you to know, you can post again. Best regards, Sebastian P.S.: I just foud out that the automatic linking to the address above doesn't work although it is correct. So you have to type the address into your browser manually (copy -> paste). |

I have to read very carefully your topic, seems to be very interesting..You have used dieselFoam and I am using reactingParcelFoam, could be a problem? |
Hi Alessandro,
I don't know reactingParcelFoam as I am working with O.F 1.5.x and this solver doesn't exist in this version of O.F. However, I think if you understand how to set up a case (injection of single droplets) in dieselFoam, you will be able to transfer the method to your appplication. Otherwise I can only give you the standard advise (which probably will not help you very much) to check the code. Usually all C++ classes, which refer to the particle tracking, are located in the src/lagrangian folder. Best regards, Sebastian |
