Hi all!

I'd like to know how to import only some points in paraFoam after I've calculated all of them (import 1 point out of 10 for example). It would be useful to take less time to load a heavy visualization and ease mesh manipulation.
Normally, after the calculation is done, we type "paraFoam" in the terminal and paraFoam/paraview automatically imports all the points.
There's also a way to reduce the resolution of the visualization once all the points have been imported (like the filter "Mask Points" or maybe "Mesh Quality"), but that's not what I'm looking for (still takes too much time to navigate through timesteps).

Thanks in advance!

Ok I found a solution: I have to use mapFields (can be used to map the results of a coarse mesh onto a finer one (or the opposite)). Only some of the results will thus be sampled from the fine mesh to the coarse one.
In this case, the simulation should be run for the fine mesh only. Typing the mapFields command will then create the results in the "0" directory (by default (you can do this for any other time by manually changing the startTime in the controlDict dictionary, but I'm sure -and I'm trying to see if- there's a way to sweep all the time steps automatically (maybe by changing the mapFields source code))).
If you have any ideas for this last point...
