choice of fvSchemes for high-aspect-ratio grid

Hi all,

I'm trying to solve a compressible case with very big dimensions (about 5mx10mx20m) with high velocities at the same time (about 200 m/s). In order to get acceptable y+ values I had to apply a grid with boundary layers. Now I have cells with very high aspect ratio (>1000). Also there are some but not too strong non-orthogonal cells (<90)

To initialize the flow field I started a incompressible calculation with constant density. It looks not too bad, but as soon as I want to solve temperature equation (just as passive scalar) I get temperatures between 0 and 10,000 K (should be 300-700 K)!

I think this could be fought with using other divSchemes, but I've tried a lot (upwind, linear, linearUpwind with face or cellLimited ...) - without any success. CFX produced good results, but who knows what is happening in there ;)).

Any suggestion what I can try?

Regards,
Stefan
