multiRegionHeater tutorial visualization problem

Hi all,

I'm running OpenFOAM 1.7.x on Suse 11.3 64 bit platform.

I can run multiRegionHeater tutorial without any problem. I checked the log files and everything seems ok.

My problem starts when I run paraFoam. I can see U (velocity) and T (temperature) on a slice of the box for time = 0, but for times equal to 50, 100, 150 and 200 I can't see anything (the slice turns white and on the display menu, U and T are no longer there).

After having the problem, I used git to get the most recent changes to 1.7.x version and recompiled paraView just in case. The problem continues.

Suse 11.3 comes with gcc version 4.5.0.

Can someone please explain what should be the problem?

Thanks,

Paulo

Well, in fact it is not a problem.

When I call paraFoam from within cht case, for some reason it opens only time 0 and when you try to access the other times, it doesn't show the data.

But when you open the .OpenFOAM files from within paraView, you see the data there.

Thanks,

Paulo

Hi every body. two years after your post and reply i faced same problem and it helped me solving it. i only have a small clarification
from tool bar choose file the open, from directory of the case choose all files with extension .openFoam (bottomair.OpenFoam, heatre.Openfoam,....etc). and will work properly.

thaks.
