Coupled PDEs solver wanted

Hi all,

I have found that OpenFOAM mostly uses segregated approach to solve systems of PDEs.

This approach definetely needs a careful development of a step-by-step procedure to achieve good convergence properties of a solver. For strongly coupled systems with many unknowns that can be rather complicated or even impossible.

Is coupled solver available for systems of PDEs in OpenFOAM?

May be in OpenFOAM-dev?

If yes, has anyone a positive experience with it?

Thanks!

Have a look at conjugateHeatFoam in OpenFoam-extend (the new name of OF-dev).
