Hi Foamers. I am trying to use an overset mesh wit OpenFoam2106 for a boat simulation. I would like to constrain all degrees of freedom to achieve a smooth flow and then release the boat and let it move in Z axis and around Y axis (heave and pitch).

I have tried to edit the dynamicMeshDict deleting all joints (with no joints I guessed that all degrees of freedom would be restricted, but the simulation crashes in the first iteration) and even trying with the "null" type ("Cannot calculate the state of a null-joint" message appears).

I would really appreciate some help. Does not matter if you know the solution of my problem or another way of doing what I expose.

Thank you in advance.

Manuel
