hello everybody,
I'm trying to study the resistence of a ship with interFoam (or better, a modified version of it). I'm using a half model in a volume of control with a symmetry plane and an inlet and outlet patches. during the simulation, I noticed that the liquid phase volume fraction continually decrease, in other words, I'm loosing water could it be due to boundary conditions? thanks for your help Michele |

I am simulating an agitated vessel with interDyMFoam and have the exact same problem, the alpha value continuously decreases. I have checked the tutorial provided in OpenFOAM and the exact same problem occurs. Did you ever fix this? Has anyone else had this problem?
