Hi i have a situation where i have to combine 2 meshes tohether one rectangle into another ( one small volume into a bigger volume). mergeMesh works well but after running a simple flow i realize that the meshes are not combine at all. any suggestion ? thanks in advance

Amirr,

Make sure the meshes fit well. It might be a good idea to check the merged mesh in paraview after you merge them. There have been issues when other users saw a few gaps in the geometry.

The above process is assuming you setup your problem right

thanks for your reply Kalyan,

my meshes have different mesh resolutions, the mesh from the smaller volume has boundary patches. therefore stitchmesh doesnt apply in my case. when using merge mesh i have 2 superimpose meshes that is not one single mesh as I would like to have.

the question is how do i get only one mesh after mergemesh ? and how do I get rid of the internal patches from the smaller volume ?

Thanks
