what does "cellSet" mean?

hi,
can anybody tell me what does "cellSet" mean and how to set the "cellSetDict"?

Hi

With cellSet you can define a part of the mesh cells on which you want to do any kind of operation.

You can find a full example of the cellSetDict in the application folder, where cellSet.C lives.

I want to use coalChemistryFoam solver to simulate coal combustion based on the case " /lagrangian/coalChemistryFoam/simplifiedSiwek", can you explain more detailed under this situation?(such as which topoSetSource should i use ...)

Hi

Unfortunately, I do not know the solver you are querying on. However, I can elaborate on cellSet.

When you run cellSet on a computational mesh, a set of cells is generated, which obey to the rules you have defined in cellSetDict. E.g. all cells within a given box defined by the opposite corner points.

What these cells are used for is dependent on the solver, and thus the easiest way to find an answer is to look in the source code or search the forum.
