Cyclic BC with parallel running

Hi,
we're using the last version of OpenFoam 2.0.x to do a compressible LES with rhoCentralFoam. We're facing a problem reading a mesh with cyclic BC and decomposed with Scotch (the only one present in 2.0). Actually, in serial running and decomposing the case in 3 processors the solver runs well. Trying with more processors (40 or 60) the code stops when reading the mesh ( I attach the error). With empty BC the case works well even on 40 processors.
Thanks for the help

Code:

// * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * //
Create time

Create mesh for time = 0

An MPI process has executed an operation involving a call to the
"fork()" system call to create a child process.  Open MPI is currently
operating in a condition that could result in memory corruption or
other system errors; your MPI job may hang, crash, or produce silent
data corruption.  The use of fork() (or system() or other calls that
create child processes) is strongly discouraged.

The process that invoked fork was:

  Local host:          node023 (PID 5648)
  MPI_COMM_WORLD rank: 29

If you are *absolutely sure* that your application will successfully
and correctly survive a call to fork(), you may disable this warning
by setting the mpi_warn_on_fork MCA parameter to 0.

Hi Roberto,

you might want to report thins on the mantis bug tracker ( http://www.openfoam.com/mantisbt/view_all_bug_page.php ). They changed the implementation of cyclic BC's in OpenFOAM 2.0. so that it should work without problems in parallels, and this might be a bug.

Best,

Hi Alberto,

Thanks very much.. I'm just submitting the issue.. For the moment I resolve partitioning with simple and keeping the corresponding cyclic faces on the same processor.

Best
