Confused with solvers / Radiaton model

Hello to all :)

I'm new in OpenFOAM and I have some questions.

I want to solve a dispersion problem (smoke from a fire). The problem is of course transient and multi-component, and I want to take into account the radiation.

I'm a litle bit confused about all this solvers that OpenFOAM has. I see in manual (in solver description table), that the only solver witch include radiation model is the buoyantSimpleRadiationFoam. Is this true? BuoyantSimpleRadiationFoam solver although it has radational model it is a steady-state solver so it is not proper form my problem.

Can I use radiation model with other solvers?
Is there any manual with more detailed discreaption about the solvers?

Many Thanks :)

check fireFoam solver, it can simulate transient cases and it also takes into account radiation.

Perhaps that is what you are looking for.

Thank you for your answer. It seems it is what I'm looking for.

Unfortunately, I can't find any detail manual for fireFOAM. Are you aware of something;

Best regard,
ilias

As far as I know there is not detailed manual about fireFoam...

However you can check the Fire modelling workshop webpage in particular presentation 03 to 05 of 2009 where governing equations behind fireFoam (version 1.6) are presented.
