MRFSimpleFoam and turbulence models
Hello!
Can anybody explain why did high-Re turbulence models are used in all MRFsimplefoam cases( and even in cases that used GGI) tutorial? If I understand everything clearly than high-Re models used near-wall functions. In there turn, wall functions constructed on idea about exact type of the velocity profile and velocity value below 0 on the surface. If we talk about moving/rotating wall than there is some velocity on it surface and so we can't use near-wall functions, can we? Please, explain what did I miss in my talk? |
Some doubt here. I am using OF2.3.x to simulate a wind turbine and strange results are obtained with activating turbulence. k and epsilon over the surface is not real.
