Frequency of vortex shedding

Hi everybody,

I'm modeling an oscillating cylinder with pimpleDyMFoam solver.
For comparing with the results of others, I need to have frequency of vortex shedding. Does anybody know what we have to do to calculate this parameter in openFoam 1.6?

Hi Rasoul
You can plot lift coefficient versus time.

Hi,

I am also simulating a similar case for my B.Tech Thesis. I am using OpenFOAM version2.1.0. I am using the openfoam201/tutorials/incompressible/pimpleDyMFoam/wingMotion/wingMotion2D_pimpleDyMFoam as my reference. Could someone please help me out in understanding what the following entries in the pointDisplacement file means/how it works?
