Dear Foamers
I have a very fundamental question for which I need your suggestions. Does the pressure unit in OF always rho-normalized, I mean P/rho with the unit of [0 2 - 2 0 0 0]?? For any kind of solver, if I want to apply, say atmospheric pressure, do I need to divide that with the rho to convert kg/m-s2 to m2/s2?? Any of your suggestion is highly appreciated. |

Hi Ahmed,
Most of the solver in openfoam use p without division by rho, but solvers in openFOAM/solvers/incompressible use of p/rho. if you want, you can modify the solver and use of p with kg/ms2 dimension. |

Thanks Hesam for the info. Do you know how to spit out 'rho' or 'viscosity' in OF? The value can tell about the unit.
Please reply any of your suggestions. Thanks. |
