Hi Foamers,
When I used turbulentInlet boundary condition for velocity at the inlet in pisoFoam solver (openfoam 6), I also got these pressure fluctuations in the domain. I was solving pipe flow with LES. SGS models tried are Smagorinsky, kEqn, dynamicKEqn and WALE. everytime, same problem. I did a study to see effect of time step. whenever I reduce the time step size by half, the amplitude of pressure oscillations were increasing by factor of 2. this ratio is maintained in various trials. I could not understand where the problem lies. I tried with different Reynolds numbers of flow. Same problems get repeated. Can someone please try to look into this? |
