chtMultiRegionFoam

Dear OpenFOAMers,

I'm using chtMultiRegionFoam for the first time, and I had a few questions regarding the solver.
so far, I haven't had a problem with the case and it's setup, but the way in which the solver handles the interface between the solid and fluid region remains unknown to me.

first of all, in the Allrun script, there are two commands that should erase all the solid fields from the fluid regions and vice versa. I tried running the script twice, once with those commands and once without them, but I can't see any difference

second, how does the solver handle both temperature and heat flux on the interface between solid and fluid regions? does it solve the energy equation for both regions and then smear out the values on the interface? or does it just extrapolate the values from the solid regions?

please keep in mind, that i'm not all that familiar with c++ syntax, so looking at the solver itself didn't really help me a lot

any help would be largely appreciated, and thank you in advance

kind regards
Saleh

PS. I already checked out the other threads that are posted on this subject, but unfortunately none of them answered my questions
