Under what circumstances is DRW really valid?

I'm very dubious about adding an unphysical quantity to the Lagrangian particle tracking by the stochastic random walk model.
I've read in many places that without it results are poor or erroneous, equally that it's invalid for small micron size particles. What's the status quo here? Regards, |
