The thread is dedicated to validation of the pimpleFoam solver against the problem of seabed scour numerical modelling:

Subhasish D., and Arindam S. Scour Downstream of an Apron Due to Submerged Horizontal Jets//J. Hydraul. Eng. 2006.132:246-257

Several models of bed scour are considered.

All necessary data is stored in GitHub repository: https://github.com/unicfdlab/rfbr-nsfc-2021

Dear Matvey,

Thanks a lot for this; however, I couldn't see any available data in the repo. Would you mind to double check whether the repo contains the data required?

Validation of scouring model starts with validation of high Re planar jet flow model (backward face step): https://github.com/unicfdlab/rfbr-ns...rd-facing-step.

It was shown previously that error in seabed height is in quadratic proportion to error of wall shear stresses.
