Dear Foamer,
I have a question about simulating a 2D irregular wave system by using olaflow. The wave are calculated under the Stokes I theory. my model (Hs=4.3m, Ts=12s, JONSWAP spectrum, gamma = 3.3) The question is how to obtain the wave height H[m] from the S(f)[mēs] spectral density function. In order to put them in the waveDict file. Then I will compare the results of free surface elevation between the numerical one the analytical one. Here, eta(x,t) = sum(H/2 * cos(k*x-2*pi*f*t + phi)) , the free surface of the analytical one. phi is randomly distributed between [-pi , pi] Best regards Tarek |
