mn14cat is on a distinguished road
Hi all,

I am trying to use the pyFoamDisplayBlockMesh.py utility, however I receive the following error :

VTK version 6
PyFoam WARNING on line 48 of file /home/mn14cat/foam/foam-extend-4.1/ThirdParty/packages/PyFoam-0.6.9/platforms/noarch/lib/python2.7/site-packages/PyFoam-0.6.9-py2.7.egg/PyFoam/Applications/DisplayBlockMeshQt.py : VTK version 6 currently unsupported

I then ran pyFoamVersion.py to check the version on VTK and recieved the following:

pyFoam-Version: 0.6.9

Path where PyFoam was found (PyFoam.__path__) is ['/home/mn14cat/foam/foam-extend-4.1/ThirdParty/packages/PyFoam-0.6.9/platforms/noarch/lib/python2.7/site-packages/PyFoam-0.6.9-py2.7.egg/PyFoam']

Configuration search path: [('file', '/etc/pyFoam/pyfoamrc'), ('directory', '/etc/pyFoam/pyfoamrc.d'), ('file', '/home/mn14cat/foam/foam-extend-4.1/ThirdParty/PyFoamSiteScripts/etc/pyfoamrc'), ('directory', '/home/mn14cat/foam/foam-extend-4.1/ThirdParty/PyFoamSiteScripts/etc/pyfoamrc.d'), ('file', '/home/mn14cat/.pyFoam/pyfoamrc'), ('directory', '/home/mn14cat/.pyFoam/pyfoamrc.d')]

I am currently running VTK version 6.3.0. After reading through other threads related to similar issues I have learned that DisplayBlockMesh.py doesn't work with version 6.3.0 but will work with VTK Version 5.

I have since built/installed VTK version 5.10.1, however I am unsure how to change the version of VTK ( effectively downgrading) from 6.3 to 5.10 .

Any help with this would be massively appreciated.

Thanks in advance
