Boundary conditions in chtMultiRegionFoam - OF-2.1.1
version: OF-2.1.1
problem: coupling of solid-fluid region - solid temperature does not change
simulation: transient, laminar conjugate heat transfer problem

dear all,

I attempt to simulate the flow through a channel in order to observe the heat transfer between solid and fluid. I have created the geometry and the regions for fluid and solid (successfully I believe, since when I run the case the fluid is flowing in the designated part).

My problem is that I cannot choose a boundary condition in order to couple the solid and the fluid regions. The result is that the temperature in my solid remains steady and there is no heat exchange between the two regions. Whatever I could find in the web has been based on the BC solidWallMixedTemperatureCoupled which apparently is not included in the 2.1.1 version of OF

I use zeroGradient but without successful results.

Can anybody help me in this issue? any guideline would be well appreciated

Have a look at the cht tutorials provided by OpenFOAM. The boundary condition used there is called "compressible::turbulentTemperatureCoupledBaffleMi xed".

I had some doubts for using this BC because my case is laminar and the name itself suggest that it is for turbulence. Finally I used it and I switched of turbulence at /constant/fluid/*.* files
