Hello all,

My OpenFOAM 2.0.0 simulation (rhoSimplecFoam) keeps crashing at random iteration steps with the following error:

Code:
[0] --> FOAM FATAL ERROR:
[0] Inconsistent addressing between fine and coarse grids
[0]
[0]     From function GAMGSolver::agglomerateMatrix(const label)
[0]     in file matrices/lduMatrix/solvers/GAMG/GAMGSolverAgglomerateMatrix.C at line 171.
[0]
FOAM parallel run exiting
Google and the forum search do not give any hints in a first search. Can someone tell me the meaning of the error and possibly a quick fix or workaround?

BR, Radko

Hi,

I know its 2 years too late but I get the same error after switching my DDR3 memory frequency from 1333 MHz up to 1600 MHz. I tried 5 times the simulation and everytime I got the same error but it did not belong to a certain iteration time.

After switching back to 1333 MHz everything works fine again.

I had a look at my linux behavior and the frequency setted there:

Bios told me: 1600
Linux told me: 1333

Maybe there is something wrong with the linux settings.
If I know new thinks I ll tell it here.

Regard Tobi

I know that I can use a other solver but that`s the reason why the solver aborts every time (ram frequency).
