formulations of solvers

Hi

I'm new to OpenFoam. I'd like to know what formulations are used in each solver. I was wondering if there is a documentation providing this information or not.

Thanks

there is no documentation for each solver, maybe you find for some of these solvers
by google, but in general nope :D
you need to dig the solver by reading code, searching in forum for your questions and so on, it is a try and error procedure

You can have a look at
http://www.openfoam.com/features/standard-solvers.php
for a list of all standard solvers.

For some solvers (unfortunately not all) there is also additional information available at
http://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/Main_OFSolvers

Kind regards,

L

Thanks for your reply.
I'm looking for formulations of "Multiphase flow solvers".

Well, you have Volume of Fluid, Two-Fluids and Mixture Models, for the first two you can check the H. Rusche's thesis

http://powerlab.fsb.hr/ped/kturbo/Op...chePhD2002.pdf

for mixture, the Brennan's thesis

http://powerlab.fsb.hr/ped/kturbo/Op...BrennanPhD.pdf

Regards.
