Dear Foamers,

I am running the rhoPorousMRFSimpleFoam solver using OpenFOAM-2.1.1. My case is a impeller. I am giving the following boundary conditions:

inlet

U: pressureInletVelocity
p:totalPressure

Outlet

U: flowRateInletVelocity with negative value. So that it will acts as a outflow
p: fixedValue with a value of 101325.

And My case is nonConformal Mesh. say like impeller is hexahedral and casing is tetrahedral. So I had given cyclicAMI boundary condition. In this case I am not getting correct velocity at the inlet. So mass is imbalanced. I have checked at the interfaces. One side of patch that is on the casing side I am getting correct velocity and getting flow rate also. But other side velocity is not coming uniformly. I am using cyclicAMI with trasform noOrdering.

I have tried with snappyHexMesh by converting interfaces in to interior. In this case, Mass is getting balancing but after some iterations like after 126 Iter I am facing the issue like

Time = 126

smoothSolver: Solving for Uy, Initial residual = 0.002563926, Final residual = 2.3158849e-05, No Iterations 4
