Hi everyone, is it possible to change the format of an existing case (all time steps) from ASCII format to binary format? If so, how?

Thanks.

There is a utlitiy -- foamFormatConvert -- that from the description can be used to convert from binary to ascii (https://github.com/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM...ormatConvert.C). It is worth checking if it works the other way too -- I've not tried to do so.

That worked! All I had to do was change writeFormat in the controlDict and run foamFormatConvert, and it converted the whole case to binary. Thank you!
