Wiki: Matrix page

Hi,
Searching the net I found a nice page in the wiki about the matrix structure used in OpenFOAM. The page is in this address: http://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/OpenFOAM_guide/Matrices_in_OpenFOAM
Unfortunatelly it seems that this page can't be reached from the home page of the wiki. In my opinion people browsing the wiki should be able to reach this information because this page is important.
Best Regards,
Paulo

It is a Wiki, feel free to put links to this page on relevant pages.

Probably this page was started as part of a bigger, ambitious undertaking and the original author then didn't link this page.

But as it has been said below: feel free to insert the link on a page that you think is appropriate. If I (or someone else) feel that the location is really not appropriate it will be changed (with a remark). But it is surprising how seldom this is necessary. Obviously OpenFOAMers have rather good judgement

Greetings to all!

The wheels are in motion, because I've opened the main page for said "The missing programmers guide": http://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/OpenFOAM_guide

As I've mentioned a few minutes ago in the following discussion pages:
I just need clearance/feedback for proceeding with the suggested changes and finishing the process of tying up of some loose ends.

Best regards,
Bruno

Late to the party!

@wyldckat: thanks for the contribution! I was thinking about doing something like that. That definitely improves visibility. I'm guessing people aren't very familiar with category browsing in wikis.

@gschaider Would it be possible to put a link to that on the front page somewhere? I never felt it was very visible.

Hi David,

Many thanks for the feedback! Well, since it's been a while since I asked about this, I'm going to take Bernhard's comment to the letter:

I'll finish the transition today, namely to deprecate the page http://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/Ma...rGuideAddendum in favour of this one: http://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/OpenFOAM_guide
Therefore, I'll replace the respective link at the main page. :)

Best regards,
Bruno

edit: All done. And I've changed the old page http://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/Ma...rGuideAddendum to becoming an Errata for the Programmer's Guide: http://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/Op...s_Guide_Errata

Thank you Bruno for taking the initiative on this. Only thing is that I don'T know how many clicks the link will draw but "things you wanted to know about OF programming but were afraid to ask" would be too long and would mainly attract Woody Allen-affecionados. Especially as there is a sub-page "bananas". But I guess the best way to increase visibility to this page is referencing it (if humans do it its not link farming) so that Google picks it up. People nowadays don't bookmark. They google

It's not that bad: I had a look at the statistics. This year the whole group of pages got 17077 pageviews. It is beaten by Contrib/ (where swak4Foam and waves2Foam are amongst others) with 35678 pageviews and the Installation/-subpages which in total got 29577. But it beats the PyFoam-page which only has 11521 views (this is unacceptable!! ;) Heads will roll)

But one way to increase visibility would be to single out pages that are especially interesting to the general public (the bananas-trick comes to mind) and add the necessary tag to make it a http://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/Ca...eaturedArticle (but make sure that not the whole article will show up on the front-page when it becomes "Page of the hour" - add noinclude)
