Dear my Friends
![]() I want to model Cement Rotary Kiln with OpenFoam;(I am elementary in OpeanFoam) some ,arked information about model: 1- Two phase Model (gas phase from kiln burner-bed materials(granular flow) of kiln that contain 8 to 12 chemical reactions) 2- Heat Transfer between Kiln wall, bed material flow and hot gas flow from burner. 3- Rotation of kiln and its influence on other parameters of kiln 4- Interaction between two phases(reaction and heat transfer exchange) 5- Heat transfer in the kiln wall Now I want to find a suitable model(solver) in OpenFoam which is close to this model. "A two phase model with heat transfer and containing chemical reactions and combustion models." !!!! ![]() ![]() Best Regards Fateh. ![]() |

Dear Habibfateh,
Did you develop a solver for simulating Rotary Kiln, I want to model coal combustion in fluidized bed, which is the same with you. In OpenFOAM workshop2015, Kang Y. Huh from Pohang University of Science and Technology (see link, page 44) developed a solver named reatingMPPICFoam, thus I think MPPICFoam/DPMFoam + coalChemistryFoam can do it, however, I encounter many problems, and can you give me some advice? https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=...bD_5iy6dl48kXA Best regards!
