Hi guys,

as a beginner, how can I define the Reynoldsnumber for rhoCentralFoam


For icoFoam I choosed for Re=10 following parameters:
U=(1 0 0)
nu = 0.1
D = 1


=> Re=20


How can I do this for rhoCentralFoam?

Reynold's number is a fundamental flow property and is independent of what solver or code you're using. So the answer would be: you define it in the same way as you did in the example you've posted (I think you have an error there since 1/0.1 = 10, not 20). Still, since you are asking about rhoCentralFoam, which is a compressible solver, you are probably interested in compressibility and so Mach number of your problem will also be important, amongst other things.
