fluid-structure interaction in flow past a cylinder

Hi guys!

Could you tell can the OpenFoam solve the case about the fluid-structure interaction? For example, I just want to simulate flow past a cylinder which is not fixed. Could you give me some recommendations about this? Thank you for your helps.

in OpenFOAM-ext version you can find icoFSIFoam which solves fluid-solid interaction problems

Hi Nimasam,

Thank you for your help. However, it seems like the icoFSIFoam is for laminar. Is there any turbulence solver such as pimpleFoam or pisoFoam can solve this?

you should developed it for yourself, it seems some attempts have been done, search in forum you will find several related topics

material also take a look at the previous years there was always material on FSI
