Hi everyone,

Basically I am looking so simulate gas filtering through a liquid based on the pressure applied. You can imagine this as a scrubber system (air pollution control devices) hookahs, inhalers, etc...

I am using OpenFoam and pretty new to it but have a solid grasp of it. I was thinking of using similar to interFoam? Not sure how I can simulate pressure applied causing air to go through the liquid (bubbling, filtering?).

Are there previous work on this topic through the use of OpenFoam? Should I use Ansys Fluent in this case? Any help is much appreciated.

Thank you

There is no magic in CFD. You first have to define the PDE you want to solve. Then you can start to discuss the tool, not before. First thing first.

Thank you for you answer.

I understand the PDEs involved. I will most likely be using OpenFoam, my question was any tips in regards of what solver can handle this scenario best.

But good to know there is no magic in CFD.
