Hi all,
I want to constraint heave motion for a floating cylinder. From what i read about the 6 DOF Rigid Body Motion Constraint, fixedPlane seems ideal for me as i wish to analyse transverse and in-line motion. However, I am unsure on how to set the conditions and could not find any tutorial using this constraint. http://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/Ma...nConstraint.22 The above link suggests a reference point is required and the direction. Could anyone guide me on how I may set this constraint? Thank you. Regards, Prasad |

I need help in specifying fixedPlane constraint in dynamicMeshDict for a 2D case in the x-y plane
Is this entry the correct way fixedPlaneXY { sixDoFRigidBodyMotionConstraint fixedPlane; fixedPlaneCoeffs { refPoint (0 0 0); direction (0 0 1); //normal direction to plane } } |
