hello!
Please look at the picture that I insert: I use interDyMFoam for dam-reservoir analysis under earthquake. That is dam give the fluid displacement , and fluid give the dam dynamic pressure by contact surface .The FSI solution strategy I adopted is the so-called partitioned approach, in which the fluid and structure domains are treated as two separate domains. And I choose the "loose coupling" strategy ! twophase fluid (reservoir)---myinterDyMFoam structure (concrete gravity dam)---FEM When modulus of elasticity of concrete gravity dam is 2.55e10 Pa, all is ok. ![]() But when modulus of elasticity of concrete gravity dam is 2.55e8 Pa, It is divergent even though there is no eathquake(that means bedrock is static) . ![]() ![]() Then I wonder if it is impossible for "twophase fluid of FVM" and "FEM" to simulate fluid-structure interaction problem ? I really don't find any papers about this ! And there is only fluid-structure interaction with onephase fluid in the foam-extend-3.0 ! what is wrong ? could you help me? Many thanks ! xuhe |
