Vector fields as transient boundary coditions

Hi,

From previous posts it seems to me that OF can only handle uniform scalars (and vectors normal to the patch) as transient boundary conditions. If this is correct, I would appreciate some guidelines from anybody who has programmed OF to use arbitrary non-uniform vector fields as transient boundary conditions.

non uniform BC can be handle with groovyBC, also i recommend to look at mixedBC

I have a similar but more complex probelm.I want to use a transient Non-uniform boundary condition.I have the data files of the inlet velocity for each cell for every time steps.How can I read the data files for each time step?Is there any utilities available or I have to programme these features into application?
I am a rookie to OF,any help will be appreciated.
