Why ReactingFoam gives different results with different number of processors?

Dear Foamers,

I have run into a peculiar case and appreciate any help.

case setup: To expose the problem better, I have setup a simple 1D hydrogen case for use with reactingFoam (attached). The resolution is 4 microns with domain length being 1mm with periodic BC. Initially all variables are uniform and only we have a harmonic temperature distribution. To ensure this is not related to chemistry, I have turned the reaction "off".

What is wrong: After only "one" time step the results for "U" field is different if you run the case with 1 or 5 cores (figure attached). Is this expected or I am missing something here?!

Thanks in anticipation,
James
