Hi,

I have been doing CFD with our MPI-FORTRAN in-house code for a couple of years.

Now, I am in a new position and I am asked to work with Open FOAM as it is an open-source package. So, I wanted to see if you know a good tutorial for it. I want to run it on Linux systems so I need to get familiar with Linux version.

I appreciate your guidance.

I am not a professional user of OpenFOAM, since I've only use it a few times, mostly to see how it works.

I believe this documentation might be useful. http://cfd.direct/openfoam/documentation/

There are tutorials in the OpenFOAM user's guide. And most of useful Linux commands can be found In the OpenFOAM linux guide.

I agree with Alex in that the first place to start is reading the documentation (see the doc folder that comes with the actual OpenFOAM installation if you like PDFs). Depending on your time frame to learn how to use the code, you may want to leverage one of the GUIs that drive OpenFOAM and/or also attend the OpenFOAM workshop. If you attend the workshop (happening in two weeks), there is training on numerous introductory and advanced topics and you can ask questions to people that have been using it for years.
