hi all,
I've just started using openfoam to model the reaction in turbulent flow. I have downloaded the edcPisoFoam 2015aSR1PF22x and tried to install it on Ubuntu operating system. However, I came across an issue following the installation instruction (please see the attachment). When I tried to copy the folder from the archive to /OpenFOAM-.2.x/src…..(e.g. copying the wsggmAbsorptionEmission forlder from the archive to /OpenFOAM-.2.x/src/thermophysicalModels/radiationModels/submodels/absorptionEmissionModel/). An error information shows, cp: cannot create directory ‘/opt/openfoam221/src/thermophysicalModels/radiationModels/submodels/absorptionEmissionModel/ wsggmAbsorptionEmission’: Permission denied. The openfoam version that I use is 2.2.1. would be really appreciated if anyone could help. Thank you. Best Regards, Li |

This error has nothing to do with OpenFOAM or edcPisoFoam.
You are trying to write to location which you have no permission to write. Copy the files to your $FOAM_RUN, then compile. |

Hi, Hassan,
Thank you for kind help. I copied the edcPisoFoam to applications folder and modified the route in the file under the make folder, and compiled it. However, i got the error which seems to be related to the LEMOS. I was requested to have the LEMOS-2.2.X in the $FOAM_SRC. Again, I do not have the permission to copy the LEMOS to the $FOAM_SRC. Could you please help? Thank you. Best Wishes, Li |
