Hi I'm trying to implement a dynamic mesh case in openfoam (oscillating deforming sharp-edge structure: deformation is prescribed by me). I want to use dynamicRefineFvMesh since I need mesh refinement. I have two questions regarding this method. I'd really appreciate your help.
1. Does the dynamicRefineFvMesh works similar to remeshing in Fluent? 2. Is there a way to refine mesh depending on the node displacement instead of the value of the field(it allows only p and nu for my case)? |

Hello
Note that OpenFOAM doesn't currently support dynamic motion and refinement simultaneously. The dynamic refinement works by adding cells around an interface such as the interface between two fluids. It can also be programmed to refine around other scalar values, or against two parameters if you look at the work done by Tobias @ http://www.holzmann-cfd.de/index.php...efinefvmesh-en .
